Augusta Precious Metals Review: Fees & Questions to Ask
Augusta Precious Metals is an established precious-metals dealer serving IRA buyers. Its published fee sheet is useful because it exposes specific custodian and storage examples rather than only generic fee language.
Published fee example
Augusta's current Gold & Silver IRA fee sheet shows a $50 custodian application fee, $125 annual custodian fee and a sample $100 annual non-government depository storage fee. It describes $275 as the example one-time setup total and $225 as recurring annual fees under that example.
What still requires a quote
The fee sheet does not by itself tell you the dealer spread on the exact metals you may buy, an indicative repurchase price, or whether your chosen custodian/depository arrangement uses the same numbers.
How to compare with Noble Gold
Noble Gold currently states $80 setup and $275 annually, including $150 segregated storage. Compare the actual storage type, exact metal quote and ongoing terms rather than assuming the lower headline annual number is the better transaction.
Questions before funding
- Which custodian and depository are proposed for my account?
- What are all first-year and recurring fees?
- What exact metals are recommended and why?
- What is today's purchase and indicative repurchase price?
- What promotion, if any, changes the economics?
